With Rusty Anchor Boat Tours you not only see the most beautiful sunsets Central Florida has to offer but you will taste the most wonderful food at one of our favorite restaurants on the lake. During your journey you will pass Boathouse Row and other historical buildings along the shoreline. Our Captains and Crew are happy to share with you the history of Mount Dora and some fun facts about Lake Dora as well.

On our Sunset Dinner Cruise you see a cornucopia of wildlife and could possibly have the opportunity to feast your eyes on Bald Eagles, American Alligators, Ospreys and many species of Herons, Egrets and other birds. You will learn how you can get from the Ocklawaha (Harris) Chain of Lakes in Central Florida to the Atlantic Ocean in Jacksonville. All this adventure can make a person hungry so your next stop is at one of the many popular restaurants in the city of Tavares.

Our choice for fun and food on Rusty Anchor’s Sunset Dinner Cruise most often is an Irish pub called O’Keefe’s. It comes with all of the authentic food, libations and lively atmosphere an Irishman can handle and they offer a varied menu from which to purchase your dinner and drinks that is certain to be pleasing to your pallet. During your trip we will pause to take in the stunning sunset that Lake Dora is famous for producing. It’s a photo op for you to share for years to come. What your ticket includes:

• A boat tour across Lake Dora, narration of the amazing flora and fauna with a leisurely stop at a waterfront restaurant and back.

• The price of dinner, this way you can choose the meal and beverages You desire.

Departure is typically somewhere between 5:00 – 6:oo pm due to the timing of the actual sunset.
